For drink, you can choose to drink their chinese tea which I heard it’s RM8 per person. I didn’t look at the beverage section to check out what kind of chinese tea that they are offering.

It is strategically located not far away from Pasar Seni Putra LRT station, a stone throw away from the Central Market and 1 minute walk from the Petaling Street’s entrance.

During the peak hour, this shop is packed with people and sometimes you have to share tables with other people too. I am not sure whether this shop is always crowded with people but when we reached this shop at 3.30PM, Saturday, we were quite surprised that there was no body inside the shop. The workers were freely sitting down at the table. I thought they were about to close shop.

Their business hour is quite long, starting from 10.30AM to 8.30PM. The notice board did not mention if they have off day.

RM7.00 for a bowl of fresh beef noodle, I think it is a bit expensive to eat a small shop, non shopping complex area but it is still worthy.

The beef balls are fresh and springy when you eat it. Unlike some of the beef balls which are either powdery and hard to eat. The texture is different than another famous beef noodle called, Soong Kee also. You can order either soup or dry with your choices of noodles. Besides that, you also can choose to have mixed beef noodle which is also costs RM7.00.

The broth is clear and tasty. I did not feel thirsty after finishing the soup

I prefer the dry beef noodle and so I can mix it with the minced meat. The generous amount of minced meat mix well with any type of noodle. Overall, it is not too oily, just look okay when I mixed with the kuay teow.

By the time we finished up our beef noodles and looked around the shop, it was packed with people already. We were lucky to be there early. However, you do not have to worry long waiting time, they serve the food and drink very fast.

I have no comment on this meal because I am not the one who tried it. I am not sure if they are still having this in their menu list.

It comes with a small bowl of salad. It was nicely decorated.

And the other food that we tried at this restaurant was the pizza. We ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza (RM20) which is reasonable big portion with generous amount of ingredients. I think 1 person cannot finish this whole pizza.

I quite like this dish, the salad and dried tomatoes are pretty nice to eat.

If you are going for vegetarian, this Siew Ngo Rice set is one of the best offer. I am not sure whether this set is still on their menu or not because they often change menu and set lunch offers.

You may order the siew ngo (vegetarian duck) separately too.

Dumplings
Remember you can choose either normal or with chili oil dumplings. It comes with some tiny-sliced gingers dipped into the vinegar. Try eat the dumplings with the ginger and vinegar, as for some people, they feel it blends well.

During my recent visit, I tried the “tai chow”. It was the only stall opened during the Chinese New Year season. We ordered few plates of noodles to eat.

Sang Mein
Sang Mein is the fried wanton noodle with thick gravy. The gravy is similar as the Cantonese fried noodle and most of the time the ingredients are almost similar. I have to mix the noodle with gravy in order to get it soften before eating it.

Hokkien Mee
I seldom eat Hokkien mee, the big and thick yellow noodles cooks with dark soya sauce. All I know is an Hokkien mee considers as a good one if the cook puts in the lards to cook. I do not know why the taste will be different if goes without the lards. Anyway, I hate lards that is why I seldom eat Hokkien mee.

Cantonese Fried Noodle
The Cantonese fried noodle that has the kway teow only is called “wat tan hor”. A normal Cantonese fried noodle is the combination of the fried mee hoon and kway teow and it is called “yin yong”. Both gravy are the same.

Another reason of visiting this Low Yat branch is for this unagi set. It was having promotion (June 2010) at this branch so we gave a try. Add more teriyaki sauce if you feel it is not enough sauce.
