Quite some time I did not eat buffet dim sum, so I wanted to try it again and this time I chose the Mandarin Palace at Federal Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. I could not remember whether I have tried this buffet dim sum before this but I did try their 10-dish lunch set not long ago.
Started at 10.00 am, we stepped into the restaurant at 10.30am. No one was there except our table. We explored the food area at one of the corner where we found some fried dim sum such as “wu kok“, egg tart, “siew pao“, vegetarian food and some pre-cooked food. The dim sum choices are limited to 11 different dim sum which were placed in the steam trolley cart.
Since, it was shared by 4 persons, we ordered all the 11 dim sum, some fried food, vegetarian, fish porridge, wanton noodle, bah kut teh’s soup, wine chicken, beancurd and desserts. I did not try some of the dim sum that we ordered. Overall, some are tasty but some are not. Maybe different people have different taste. For me, this one is just an average standard of buffet dim sum. Priced at RM25++ for weekends and RM20++ for weekdays.
