Japanese Food

GoGung by Koryo Won is a Korean restaurant located at Level 3, The Gardens. It is an accidental discovery for me but for my other colleagues, I think they used to be there. It has set lunches and ala-carte but do not have set dinners.

We looked through the set lunch menu for quite long before we decided what to order. Since I do not so like to eat beef, I opted for chicken and ordered the rice in the stone pot. Yes, correct, it is the Dol Sot Bibimbap. It comes with 4 side dishes in the small plates and Korean famous pancake, Pajeon.

The Dol Sot Bibimbap. Do mix it well before start eating it. Inside this hot pot, it included a lot of different vegetables, chicken meat, seaweeds and egg. You can choose between beef and chicken.

They also included a bowl of soup.

And the famous pancake of Korea, Pa Jeon.

The set lunch does not come with drink. It is still fine for me because I have so many things to eat, so I think it is fine to go without drink. The cheapest drink you can find there is the mineral water if you are not interested with other drinks available on the menu. I do not know if you order a glass of plain water, you need to pay or not.

Overall, I think the food and beverages are quite expensive here. The taste of the food is ok, nothing much special. Maybe, I seldom eat Korean food. However, my colleagues said the portion is too big, we all cannot finish it. The more you eat, the more you feel “jialak” (some uneasiness feeling).
