Japanese Food

Sakae Sushi

Sakae Sushi, a Japanese restaurant used to be at KLCC but now has moved to Fahrenheit88, the nearest one. It used to be located at the top floor next to the Nippon Tei, another Japanese restaurant that has been closed too. It was quite a lot of people eating here. The overall environment was quite crowded with people, the table is quite small as compared to Sushi King.

Unique parts of this restaurant are the tables are installed with monitors where you can browse for your sushi and make orders. Besides that, they give te green tea in tea bag if you order hot ocha. There is a hot water button at each table where you can add or refill hot water on your own.

It is slightly different style than the rest of the Japanese restaurant but still offer great food. It was my first visit too and I went with few friends for dinner. We ordered some sushi and bento set to share among us.

Soft shell crab
It is good to eat while it is still hot and crispy. Dip it into the sauce or you can eat it just like this.

Bento set
This bento comprises of rice, soup, chawanmushi and the main dishes are, saba fish and chicken teriyaki. Oh, the sauce is not enough, you can add on the teriyaki sauce on the table.

Rice, soup and chawanmushi
The chawanmushi is very smooth with quite generous ingredients inside. I saw something like a shark fin but I don’t think they will give you real shark fin 🙂

Next, we also ordered some sushi which prices between RM1.90 to RM6.90.

On another visit to Sakae Sushi at One Utama, I got to try out other type of food that they offer. Some nigiri sushi; egg, unagi and salmon

Teriyaki Chicken Bento

Dessert – ice cream cake
It is a vanilla ice cream cake with red bean in the middle. It has green tea flavour too. You can find this cake at supermarket as well.
