It is a quarter Chicken Pie bought by my cousin from Singapore when she travelled to Kuala Lumpur. I liked this chicken pie so much when I first had it 1-2 years back.
The chicken pie consisted of corn, carrot, potato, quarter boiled egg, mushrooms and of course chicken. The pastry was crispy and taste was very good. The fillings inside was flavourful and not too strong of spices. Good try!

Weekday Specials start from RM9.90nett. We headed down to this restaurant which is situated at Level 1, South Court, Mid Valley Megamall. During the lunch time, it is quite crowded because this restaurant located next to the entrance of Menara IGB.
My colleague ordered this Mushroom Soup. It looked pretty thick and creamy soup for me. So, how it tasted? According to her comment, it was quite okay. For RM8.90, you may consider it if you just want to have something light to eat.
As for main dishes, please continue read below…
Spaghetti with Black Pepper Chicken. Nice presentation 🙂 I can see how much effect the chef puts on this plate of spaghetti, however, there is no comment about it.
Baked Macaroni Cheese. Cheesy is definitely and the portion is pretty generous. However, I did not know how it tasted.
Curry Laksa Noodle smells good whenever I pass by this restaurant. For my first time visit, I tried this noodle. I could not choose the type of noodle. So, by default it is using
yellow noodle Shanghai noodle. It is pretty surprised for me to see wanton inside this laksa noodle. The rest of the ingredients were those normal ones which included long beans, beancurd and chicken. The only drawback was the noodle was over-cooked. Even on my second time trying this noodle, the noodle texture remained same and the wanton was a bit lost of freshness.
I wanted to re-order the Curry Laksa Noodle on my second visit but it was sold out so the waiter replaced it with Nyonya Laksa. It is a little big disappointed as the taste and aroma are not as good as the Curry Noodle. The ingredients were pretty generous with 3 fresh medium sized prawns, some beancurb, fish cakes and bean sprouts.
During our first visit, they were having promotion with spending more than RM60.00, we can get free dessert. Choices are banana pancake and durian pancake. We picked durian pancake. I am sorry to say, I am not a durian fan! So, I skipped this.
The durian smell was so strong 😛 So, my advise is after eating it, please get something for mouth refreshment.
If you wish to add on for dessert or drink at RM1.99.

Attracted by its discounts offer for dim sum during weekdays and weekends, my aunt and myself headed to one of the Royal China restaurants. The branch that we went to was located along Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.
When we reached this restaurant, we were greeted by the waiters and waitress at the entrance. The restaurant is quite spacious and ample of parking lots. However, it is quite far away from the main shopping areas, like Pavilion, Starhill and Lot10.
For the first time, we ordered the basic dim sum from their menu.
Fried Carrot Cake
Smelt good when it was served hot. The taste was good enough and it did not look very oily.
Glutinous Rice with Mushroom and Chicken
It gave half mushroom and a small chunk of chicken meat.
Siew Mai and Beancurd Dumplings
It is just a simple and acceptable siew mai and beancurd dumplings.
Char Siew Bao
It is still worthy to go to this restaurant to try their dim sum even if there is no weekdays or weekends offer because their pricing is reasonable and the food portion is generous enough.

Non-Halal Dim Sum
On this beautiful Friday, I joined with another two colleagues to try the assam laksa noodle from SBread. Last time, when I queued at the Pulau Ketam Yong Tau Foo, another stall in front of SBread at the lower ground, The Gardens, I smelt the strong aroma of assam laksa broth coming from the this shop.
For the first time, I tried the Assam Laksa noodle. The staff prepared the thick round rice noodle inside the rice cooker pot which contains the thick assam laksa soup. During the preparation, I saw the staff soaked the noodle into the soup for few rounds before poured it into the white-blue bowl and added some garnishes such as the shredded cucumber, pineapple cubes, some fish (mackerel) and some mint leaves.
Oh, not to forget, a scoop of prawn paste that goes well with the assam laksa when you mix it into the soup. I personally feel this assam laksa is good enough with the strong assam laksa taste and the rice noodle is just nice, not too soft. It is worth to revisit and eat again.
My colleague ordered the Rendang Chicken Nasi Lemak. They use the traditional nasi lemak flavoured with pandan leaves with some sambal, anchovies, peanuts and half of the boiled egg to serve with the rendang chicken.
This is how the rendang chicken looks like. I do feel that it goes well with the nasi lemak. Maybe, I will try it next round to personally taste it.
After finished eating, have a cold soya bean to reduce the body heat. Haha 🙂

In my recent trip to Cameron Highlands with a group of friends, we visited a little shop which is situated along the highway road to/from Simpang Pulai. My friend said, we can have tea break here before going down to Ipoh. Gosh, you know, it was 12.30PM only. It supposed to be lunch time!
Anyway, it is a great finding for us because this shop sells a lot of different kind of chocolate. I have seen people buying a full basket of chocolate, so I did too with my friends. I am not a chocolate fan but I bought some too.
Layered pastry filling with blueberry jam and cream and topped with a strawberry.
You may think it is weird, went to a chocolate shop but eating blueberry strudel… haha 🙂
Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake
It is rich with the bitterness of the dark chocolate taste. The crispiness of dark chocolate on top blends well with the chocolate mousse in the middle.
Since I am not big fan of chocolate, I let the rest of the stories to be continue by yourself. Cheers!
