My ex-colleague buzzed me on one of the afternoon’s lunches, asking me to join her for lunch, however, I rejected due to workload. Then, the next few days, I buzzed her and asked her for lunch. And also, I asked another ex-colleague to join us as well. It has been a while we did not meet up and have some chats. Luckily, both of them were free to join.
After walking through the “eateries street” along the walkway from Mid Valley Megamall to The Gardens Mall at the lower ground, we finally settled down at Sushi Tei.
In my previous two visits to Sushi Tei, I chose to eat the noodle selection. This time, the food were chose by them as I would like to try out new things too! Deep Fried Fish Skin
I do not eat fish skin whenever I eat steamed fish but this fried fish skin is crispy. It goes well with the mayonnaise. However, I found myself very thirsty after that. 🙂
I have no idea what this maki called. We just picked up from the sushi belt and tried.
Fried Salmon Rice
Simple fried rice, the taste is just okay, did not see much salmon or it might be cubed salmon. It was nothing fantastic about it.

It has been opened in The Gardens Mall for quite long already. It is located next to the Korean’s stall. Simple design, open kitchen style and there is a large square table to accommodate big group of people to sit together. However, I do not like its arm-chairs, it is a bit uncomfortable to sit and eat. (Edited: They have changed the chair now).
I have been there for two times and I do not find it fantastic yet. The food that I have tried so far was the Pad Thai with Chicken. A bit to the disappointed side of the taste. The chicken’s taste was average only.
For the second time visit, I ordered the Thai Chicken Soup Noodle. It gave steamed chicken with some vegetable. Again, it is quite tasteless.
My colleague ordered the Spring Rolls to try. According to her, it was quite nice taste.
They do provide plain water but if you wish you still can order their drink. I did not know when I first visited this restaurant and ordered the Jasmine Tea.
Personally, I feel it does not worth to give a try if there is other choices around this dining areas.

We stepped into Paddington House of Pancake again for a farewell lunch of my colleague. It has been quite sometimes I did not eat here.
This round, I ordered the same set meal which is the Fried Chicken and Mushroom Spaghetti with Cream Sauce.
It is a not very creamy sauce, just moderate one. The fried chicken meat were neither salty nor well-marinated. It was just okay and acceptable for me.
Spread with beef salami and mushroom with lot of tomato sauce on a piece of Dutch pannekoek (Dutch/Belgian pancake).
This set meal comes with free flow drink of your choice, either fruit punch or soft drink. I chose fruit punch.
You may add on ice-cream as dessert with minimal price when you order the set meal. My colleagues ordered and the ice-creams came with a weird taste. Do not be misunderstood, it was a kitchen’s error, the waiter put the BBQ sauce into the ice-creams instead of strawberry sauce.
As a token, we got extra Pancake Ice-cream, and do not worry, it is strawberry sauce 🙂 Hot pancake on the top melted the cold ice-cream in the bottom. I am not a big fan of ice-cream but strawberry sauce never goes wrong with vanilla ice-cream.
Hope my colleague has a wonderful future ahead and good luck for her future undertakings. Cheers!

A friend of mine came to KL for some business matters and we met up for a lunch at Fahrenheit 88, Kuala Lumpur. As usual, you will see the queue outside of their restaurants, so we queued for 15-20 minutes for our table. This round, I tried new stuff. It was all recommended by my friend.
Gyoza It goes well with the preserved gingers. Please request from the waiter if you want it.
Honestly speaking, I have not tried this Japanese-like pancake. To my surprised, it tasted good especially with the mayonnaise.
It was a great lunch and we talked a lot of stuff especially his knowledge sharing about factory production industry. My friend shared a lot of his life’s stories and experiences. He was trying to make me understand the situations before I jumped into conclusion.

New found love!!! The Italian Herb Chicken with Spaghetti.
It smelt very aromatic with the herbs when it was served to me. The spaghetti was cooked with olive oil and fried garlic. So, you can imagine how the smell like. The first time I tried it, the spaghetti was cooked al-dente, however, the second time I tried, it was a little soaked and the overall presentation was a little watery.
And not to forget, one of my all time favourite meals at Food Garden. The basic Korean spicy ramen instant noodle. It is a plain noodle with egg, shredded carrots and onions. It gives two side dishes which include the kimchi and potatoes. The noodle did not over-cooked or soaked with water. They also sell the kimchi ramen which I found it quite similar to this spicy ramen.
