On the second day in Singapore office, my BD team’s colleague asked me out for lunch, we planned to have ice-cream session together but until now, we still do not have time for it. So, we settled with a lunch together. It was a quite late lunch with few other teammates and we could not find a place in the food court and ended up at Penang Culture at Century Square.

We decided to order from the set lunch menu and I chose the Fishballs Glass Noodle. It included a glass of coffee or tea and a side dish. For the side dish, I chose the fried tofu and Lobak (Spiced Meat Rolls).

I decided to have something simple and light on that day so that I would not be feeling sleepy later. Yes, the portion was pretty small with various type of fishballs. The taste was just average.

The fried tofu was nice and crispy, and the fried lobak was just average.


Overall, it was a simple and light lunch. I am proud that Penang food can make such a good business in Singapore. However, I personally feel that the food will taste better if you go to Penang, Malaysia to try it.
