The Seafood International Market & Restaurant

The Seafood International Market & Restaurant

On my sixth day (my last day) in Singapore before I flew back to Kuala Lumpur in the evening, me and my cousin, Jennifer Lam went to The Seafood International Market & Restaurant which is located at East Coast for lunch. She introduced me to this restaurant after her previous visit with her friends.

Without hesitation, we ordered all the ten one-time-order dishes. It consisted of:

braised mini abalone, braised shark’s fin soup with crab meat & wild mushroom, deep-fried Soon Hock with spring onion soya sauce, poached live prawn with Chinese wine, crisp-fried garlic soft shell crab, wok baked lobster with 10 spices black pepper sauce, wok fried rock lobster with basil chilli lime sauce, sautéed scallops with asparagus,  wok fried mantis prawn with butter and crispy oats and Assam curry Garoupa fish

These are the ten dishes that we can order for once only.

Next, we ordered other dishes from the menu list. They offered most of the common dim sum such as steamed siew mai, har kao (prawn dumpling), char siew bao (barbecue chicken bun) and fried bean curd roll.
photo1 I recommend you to try the fried turkey breast with Arabica coffee sauce. The turkey breast was quite juicy and it has a strong taste too. It is pretty unique dish.

Besides that, you should also try the jellyfish with salad with Wasabi sesame dressing. This dish gave me a lot of “umphh” because of its Wasabi dressing. If you love the Wasabi taste, this dish is perfect taste.

This eat-all-you-can offer starts from 11.30AM to 2.30PM (last order at 2.00PM) daily. It comes with drinks and normal type of desserts.

Overall opinions about this restaurant are worthy to try for first time and definitely will come back again. The price is almost similar to some of the hotel buffet’s price range. The quality of the food maintained its taste although it was in smaller portion. The services are pretty good, all the waiters or waitresses are attentive to our orders and even recommend us to try their best dishes which turned out not our best taste (Haha!).

  1. Yup, it is far from the MRT if you don’t drive. But they do have a shuttle bus goes between Mountbatten MRT and Big Splash.
If you love beach, you can walk along the East Coast beach (i think) after eating.
