Plan B

Plan B

After my first visit to this restaurant at Mid Valley Megamall a year ago, I hardly go to this restaurant for any occasions. There is no reason why I did not step into this restaurant as there are plenty of restaurants in Mid Valley that we can choose from. Revisit after one year, it did not bring back any memories of my previous visit until I read again my review of Plan B which I wrote a year ago.

Wild Mushroom Soup
plan b
I was sharing my meal with my colleague and she ordered garlic breads. So, I find it best matched with Wild Mushroom Soup. Yes, the soup is thick and rich with mushroom bites. It is very nice and I guess it worth for the price.

When it was served, I saw the hearty-shape cream on top of the soup. I believed I was God, who understood that I had a sad morning on that day, after receiving a sad news from another colleague. It warmed up my heart and I accepted the news as part of my life.

Arugula Pesto Spaghetti

Then, another colleague of mine, ordered Arugula Pesto Spaghetti. I have no idea what arugula is, so I do a quick check using Google. It is also known as salad rocket, roquette, rucola, rugula, colewort and in United States, it is known as arugula. It cooked with prawn and squid.

It looked nice and smelt good when it was served. My colleague said it tasted good as well. And the portion was quite big for his intake. Hmm… perhaps, next time I can consider ordering it and share with another person.

Breakfast & Brunch, Fast Food, Halal Food, Western Food

Subway Breakfast

Subway Breakfast set comes with a 6-inch long bread with a choice of your preferred meat and a cup of drink. Since, it is breakfast time, there is a limited of choices you can choose from.
Next, you are going to choose the vegetables and toppings that you want to put into your bread. It is alright if you want to have all of them.
This is how it looks like,

Little Penang

The second restaurant that I would like to share with you and did not get to share it last year.

Little Penang

My last visit to Little Penang in Mid Valley Shopping Centre was in year 2012. It was with my colleagues. And the recent visit was with my brother. We both ordered noodles.

Lum Mee
Little Penang
It was slightly different than what I used to see from the food stall at food court where the noodle comes with thick gravy. This one looked like soup based of Lum Mee.

Of course, if you are looking for quantity, the noodle’s portion looked a little less of ingredients with two half sliced prawn, two pieces of sliced hard boiled egg, some shredded chicken meat and bean sprout with yellow noodle. For me, this is pricey as we know we can easily get it from the food court at the lower price.

Mee Jawa
Little Penang
I prefer to order their Mee Jawa out of so many dishes they offered in the menu. I will not say this is perfect or best Mee Jawa in the town but I liked the sambal squid mixed with the Mee Jawa’s sauce. It tasted good. Besides the sambal squid, they gave half of hard boiled egg, few pieces of tofu and potatoes. Still, it is pricey to have it at restaurant, where mamak stall could be at cheaper price.

But, hey, you are paying for the environment and comfort that you have in this restaurant. So, it is no complained.

Happy New Year 2014 to all my readers!!! May this new year brings you good health, good lives and a lot of joys and happiness to everyone. Do following me in my food blog where I will share more great food. I will try to bring up new dining places whenever I can. Stay tuned. Cheerio! 🙂

This month reviews will be backdated to year 2013. There are few food I wished to introduce to you all but I could not make it on time last year. Let’s cut the story short and start drooling!

Last August 2013, on one special occasion, I decided to go to Dome with my aunt at Bangsar Shopping Centre. It was my birthday month and I went there to get a special edition of Dome’s cup. It was only available to all birthday baby and you must be there on the actual date.

They will sing you a birthday song and you will get a complimentary cake of your choice and the limited edition cup as below:

Tiramisu Cake and the gift

Nice right! Then, we ordered our food.

Chicken Mushroom Spaghetti
The portion was very generous with great amount of cubed chicken meat, sliced mushrooms, cooked with spicy light cream sauce. The sauce tasted just right and not very creamy as compared with those white creamy. And, the spaghetti cooked just right. I guess this could be shared by two girls.

As for my aunt, she ordered a plate of Nasi Lemak.
It is not a wise choice to eat Nasi Lemak at coffee cafe. It should be somewhere at mamak or Malay stall where we can find some authentic and cheap Nasi Lemak.
It gave a small bowl of Sambal Squid (Sotong), two pieces of Rendang Chicken, some crackers, cucumbers, boiled eggs and nuts. I liked the Sambal Squid and Rendang Chicken. It tasted great and it was not too spicy for my preferences. However, it was a bit pricey to have Nasi Lemak here.

2013 in review

The 2013 annual report for Li Yen’s Food-prints’ blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 14,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
