Broccoli, Egg & Cherry Tomatoes

The broccoli, hard-boiled egg and cherry tomatoes are the good friends when we want to prepare some vegetables for our appetizer.

Although egg is meat, not vegetable, it is a high quality protein. More than half the protein of an egg is found in the egg white along with vitamin B2 and lower amounts of fat and cholesterol than the yolk. Chicken Breast with Salad

I stayed overnight at my cousin’s house and I watched a lot of the Asian Food Channel programmes which made me feel trying to make a lot of great food. While having so much ideas on my head, I tried my hand to marinate the chicken breast with some mixed herbs, chopped garlic and salt and left it marinated overnight.

The output after I pan grilled it the next morning was the white-brownish cooked chicken breast meat with great aroma from the mixed herbs and garlic. Next, I made some lettuces with red cherry tomatoes in a container and placed the sliced chicken breast meat on top of it.

I think it should be alright to eat without sauces.

Big Breakfast

Making my own big breakfast at home on a lovely Saturday before leaving the house to meet my friend later in the afternoon. I was a little big shock to see my wholemeal breads grew some fungus on it after expired for two days.

To play safe, I removed the affected parts and placed it on the hot pan to toast it. Sorry, I do not use toaster. After about 3-5 minutes, I removed it from the pan and placed my ham on to the pan and spring some mixed herbs on top of it to make it more aromatic.

And, lastly I fried an egg. Tada, my big breakfast is ready,

It can simply safe me S$3-4 for a breakfast outside.

Mixed Herb Chicken Fillets

I bought a chicken breast meat from the supermarket and divided it into two sets. One of it I marinated with salt, spices and mixed herb and another batch, I marinated with salt and light soy sauce.I marinated them overnight before I cooked them. The chicken fillets are easy to cook, just heat up the pan with some olive oil and place the fillets on the pan. Let it fry until it turns a little golden brown. It is better not to over-cooked your chicken fillet as it will become dry. If not mistaken, it took about 10 minutes to get it ready since my fillets are not thick and big piece. Do try it out!

Linguine Pasta with Asparagus

Linguine Pasta with Asparagus and Chicken

I bought the asparagus from the supermarket and wondered how to cook it. It is my first time cooking asparagus. My friends guided me how to cook asparagus in the simplest way. My friend suggested to me to cook it with garlic and butter and add a bit salt to taste. I did per suggested and added carrots for some colors.

While preparing the ingredients to cook the asparagus, I put the linguine pasta to cook until al-dente. After that, I cooked the cubed chicken meat which I marinated with some salt and mixed herbs yesterday.

Lastly, mixed all the ingredients with the pasta and ready to be served.
