Din Tai Fung

The Steamed Chicken Soup from Din Tai Fung is one of the good recommendations of dishes to order from this restaurant. I searched online for the ingredients to boil this chicken soup. The ingredients are quite simple, they are one whole chicken, Shaoxing wine (Chinese rice wine), scallions (just need the trimmed ends) and fresh ginger.

My colleague tried to boil this soup before but unsuccessfully to get the right taste from the recipe. Does anyone try to boil the same soup before? Mind to share your experience?

It is a real chicken soup made of fresh ingredients and tasted well, not oily but it is slightly strong with ginger taste. The chicken meat is not overly cooked which I think it is boiled separately from the main soup based.
